The Tagansky court imposed a fine on the American company Amazon Web Services, Inc. for refusing to open a representative office in Russia, as reported by the Telegram channel “Courts of General Jurisdiction of the City of Moscow.”

Amazon fined 200 million rubles for operating without a branch in the Russian Federation

The amount of the administrative fine is 200.47 million rubles ($2.26 million).

The court also fined hosting providers Bluehost Inc. and Kamatera Inc. and Ionos Inc. — they received fines of 6 million rubles. The German provider Hetzner Online GmbH was fined 117.7 million rubles.
