Samsung has made it official that it will launch the Galaxy Ring this Wednesday (17). The South Korean only unveiled the wearable device and did not provide further details about the launch, functions, features or price.
The technology giant spoke about the issue at the Galaxy Unpacked event. At the event, the company introduced the new Galaxy S24 series and gave more details about Galaxy AI.
Galaxy Ring rumors date back to mid-2016, when news broke that Samsung had patented a smart ring design that could receive calls.
Last year, new references to the ring were found in the source code of the Galaxy Wearable application.
Samsung did not release clearer images about the new device, but it gave an idea of the design it should have.
What will Galaxy Ring be used for?
Samsung did not provide details about the function of the Galaxy Ring, but it will most likely be the same as other smart rings. Devices from other brands currently on the market mainly serve healthcare functions.
