Microsoft Store now notifies the user when an app installation is complete. A recent platform update included this feature in Windows 11, making the store even easier to use.

The functionality is available in Microsoft Store package 22312, which is currently distributed to all users. Once activated, the function publishes a notification in the system tray informing you that the installation of the application has been completed.

Happily, feature can be disabledIf the user does not want to be disturbed by notifications. This option is under the “Notifications for app installation” button in the Microsoft Store settings menu.

Most likely, if the “Do Not Disturb” function is enabled in the system, the notification will not be displayed on the screen, but will be located in the Windows 11 notification tray.

With the inclusion of a notification system for installation completion, the Microsoft Store becomes an even more complete platform. It’s far from as robust as famous alternatives like Steam for games, but additions like this sharpen the competition.
