Figure 01 is a fully autonomous robot that will be tested to examine the quality and speed of its learning in real production. Neither Figure nor BMW have commented on what exactly the cars are supposed to do. It is known that humanoids can be used in body shops, sheet metal works and warehouses.
According to Figure CEO Brett Adcock, BMW was not chosen by chance.
