Apple has improved iPhone theft protection in a new update for iOS. The anti-theft function is now based on the owner’s biometric data: Face ID or fingerprints.
Apple has updated its anti-theft feature for iPhone smartphones. This is indicated in the description of the latest update of the iOS operating system.
The smartphone’s anti-theft feature now works using the owner’s biometric data. It will not be possible to manage user settings or view saved passwords without Face ID or fingerprint scanning.
Additionally, iOS introduced a one-hour delay for changing the Apple ID password or smartphone lock password. This delay is activated in unusual places so that the owner is, for example, away from home or work.
You can enable the anti-theft feature in your iPhone settings. The iOS update is available to all iPhone version X and earlier users.
