HoloTile is a type of multi-component treadmill that consists of many parts that resemble round coins. In this way, the user can move in all directions but will not leave the mat due to the constant movement of the rotating elements.

Additionally, as Smoot said, more than one person will be able to be on the mat at the same time, and these people will always remain inside the device while playing virtual reality.

It’s also about what the maximum speed might be, how much the HoloTile will cost, etc. It’s not entirely clear.

According to TechCrunch, such a mat will likely be part of the Disney Parks VR experience.
