Yandex has implemented a neural network to moderate questionable advertising

Yandex has improved the accuracy of advertising moderation thanks to the introduction of a neural network, the Yandex press service reported.

The company uses a neural network based on the DSSM architecture to moderate ads that advertise dietary supplements, alcohol, and tobacco. To classify some types of this type of advertising, Yandex uses data from official records.

“Yandex finds names in advertising in the logs and, using YandexGPT, determines whether they have meanings other than medical,” the press service notes.

The introduction of a neural network made it possible to increase the accuracy of advertising moderation by almost a third, the company added.
