Repurchasers use automated bots to buy expensive goods and then resell them at inflated prices. Speculators have posted numerous listings for headphones on eBay, with the Vision Pro priced from $5,000 to $10,000, starting at $3,499.

According to Kasada analysts, in just one identified case, 1,592 Vision Pro kits were pre-ordered using bots on the Apple website, despite the company creating pre-order rules that include mandatory authentication using Face ID. However, speculators found ways to bypass these measures using special software.
