In 2023, 27% of Russian entrepreneurs faced a lack of financing. Another 26% felt their health was deteriorating due to stress. Forbes writes about this with reference to a study conducted by specialists from the Startup Academy educational program of the Skolkovo School of Management.
Another 21% of respondents suffered from a lack of business experience and 20% suffered from difficulties due to staff shortages.
More than 30% of business owners said they were constantly worried about work. Most of the time they were afraid of running out of money, of entering the international market and of taking on responsibilities.
Respondents also reported that in the future they would like to develop the ability to manage finances and risks, form work teams and manage personnel, and interact with investors.
The survey was conducted among 1,191 business owners from 14 areas, including IT, retail and construction. The surveys were conducted in December 2023.
