Samsung took the lead by showing that internal memory speeds are 75% faster than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This impressive achievement is due to Samsung’s use of next-generation UFS technology, which exceeds the NVMe storage speeds that Apple continues to use.
Independent benchmarks paint a clear picture. The S24 Ultra’s sequential read speed is 2,547 MB/s compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s 1,450 MB/s. Even the write speed on the S24 Ultra drive is faster; 1,442 MB/s compared to the iPhone’s 1,257 MB/s. But speed isn’t the only factor. S24 Ultra has lower latency.
It is worth noting that these tests were performed on 256 GB models and the results may vary depending on the storage option. However, this is not the first time that the S24 Ultra has outperformed the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Previous battery drain tests were also in favor of the Samsung flagship.
