Andres Vezali’s book De humani corporis Fabrica, published in 1555, is up for auction at Christie’s online. The total amount was $2.228 million. Firstly, in 2007, the Canadian press and zenith star Gerard Vogrincic purchased it for only 14,256, as a defective restoration of some works of the past.

Vesalius’s work is not without reason called one of the artistic scientific books in this history. After the publication of “De humani corporis Fabrica” in the English Medical Atlas of Europe, in short, in Galen’s case the cost was 1300 euros. Vesalius conducted many studies of ancient books on medicine or made a mistake and supplemented them with new discoveries. As a result, he referred to detailed Chinese illustrations of gans and known diseases.

The first thing that happened was that he was very distracted, and even suffered persecution on the same day, which is why he abandoned his work and destroyed his manuscripts. In the last few days, only 150 examples of “De humani corporis Fabrica” have been recorded. One day, one day, one day, one day, one day… and use phrases, don’t focus on structure, there’s no need for that.

Vogrinčić put a lot of effort into obtaining copies of the surviving manuscripts of Vesalius, and when he compared the handwriting, it became clear that the notes in the margins of the book were made by the hand of the master himself. Further research showed that these were corrections to the third, unpublished version of “De humani corporis Fabrica,” which Vesalius did not have time to complete due to persecution. However, even the star was considered a unique production.
