YouTube is experimenting with a new alternative for those looking for different video suggestions. What’s new is Option to create filters for streams that only give you color-based clips.

According to this 9 to 5 Googleresource is a way to explore content for those who lack creativity or are looking for new directions. The difference is that here you can choose from three colors instead of themes or formats.

While the user is accessing the banner in the mobile application choose a filter in red, green or blue — colors of the RGB standard for displaying and reproducing colors in a digital environment.

The results are clips where the selected color dominates the thumbnail image of the videos. For example, select red and you will see reviews of cars in that color, news broadcasts with that visual identity, or music videos in which the artist wears clothing in the specified shade.

Users who participated in the test reported that the feed was still quite limited and contains less than ten videos. Additionally, there’s no indication of how YouTube selects clips beyond color; Criteria such as interaction or history are likely to be relevant.

Color separated feed does not replace the home screen or channel organization From YouTube. This is just an alternative that may or may not be used by the user.

YouTube has not yet made an official comment on the issue. But this is probably one of several experiments that Google often conducts with the community. Therefore, this does not necessarily mean that the feature will be available to all viewers.

Some of the latest tests include more aggressive measures against ad blockers, a new area for mini-games, and a tool that summarizes comments or video themes using artificial intelligence (AI).
