The Ministry reminded that it is not possible to bypass the blocking of resources with prohibited content, including VPN, in Russia. And starting from March 1, rules are being introduced that prohibit the dissemination of such software.
“Under legislation in Russia, the use of tools to bypass the blocking of access to illegal content has been prohibited since February 2020. VPN services are classified as such tools unless their use restricts access to prohibited resources, Roskomnadzor told TASS.
