DESY is short for Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron, a German electronic synchrotron. A scientific instrument is actually designed to withstand a variety of noises. Next to the center is the Volksparkstadion, where concerts are held.
On June 17, 2022, the official DESY account published a snapshot of the readings of a seismometer serving the PETRA III X-ray source. An abnormally large and noisy hill was visible there. In time, it coincided with the Rammstein concert.
This seismograph captures the transverse vibrations of the ground. Most likely, they were created by a crowd of people at a concert jumping and dancing. Pyrotechnic explosions can also affect it. But the scientists did not complain, they just shared an interesting fact.
