FAS filed a case against Rosbank for violating the advertising law. The bank published an advertisement for an “interest-free” credit card on its Telegram channel, but the terms of use of this card contained restrictions.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service opened a case against Rosbank for violation of advertising legislation. This was reported by the FAS press service on the department’s official telegram channel.
The Bank of Russia saw a sign of violation of the advertising law by Rosbank and contacted the FAS. An advertisement for a credit card was published on Rosbank’s Telegram channel with information about the lack of interest, “120 days on a credit card for purchases and cash.”
“However, the conditions of use of the credit card contained limits on the amount for free purchases and transfers,” the FAS said.
If a violation of the advertising law is determined, Rosbank will be administratively liable.
