Artificial intelligence helped a Kaluga farm achieve record milk production per cow. The Serena heifer was capable of producing 71 kg of milk per day, twice as much as a normal cow.
The Serena cow, which lives on the Kaluga farm “Filippkovo”, set a record for milk production. The super heifer managed to produce 71kg of milk per day, double the normal amount for a normal cow, a farm representative said.
Serena is a Holstein cow. On average, these cows produce between 30 and 40 kg of milk per day. Serena exceeded the figure twice, thanks to the hard work of livestock specialists, Filippkovo noted.
The farm was able to achieve such successful results thanks to the introduction of artificial intelligence-based software, which helps automate the work of feeding, treatment and herd structure, as well as maintaining records of milk, feed and seed production. .
