This means that highly anticipated projects on the level of God of War Ragnarok and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will not hit shelves in the next fiscal year, which runs until March 31, 2025.

According to Sony Group Operations and Finance Director Hiroki Totoki, the focus now is on maintaining quality and developing games that support online services.

Although major projects are in development, the company has decided to postpone their release. However, this decision will not affect new IPs or non-core franchises like Until Dawn.

So what are the sales expectations of PlayStation 5? Totoki predicts a gradual decline in sales of the console, which is in its fifth year since its launch, starting from the next fiscal year.

But it expects sales of third-party software to increase due to increased user numbers and activity.
