Every year at some point the desire comes to add your iPhone from all the cases and screen protectors. Because Apple smartphones are always very pleasant at any time of the day. And how your finger slides across the screen, and not over Chinese glass with a bad oleophobic coating… be sure to watch 🙂
This happens to me regularly, and in the case of the iPhone 15 Pro, I haven’t used the polycarbonate case for more than weeks.
➕ Pros – The smartphone takes as long as possible to heat up and fits comfortably in your pocket.
➖ Cons – you can accidentally damage the device and I play the lottery with a 50/50 chance: the iPhone will break, or the victims will be as good as new.
Today I played this lottery. The participants were me, my iPhone 15 Pro and a tiled staircase. I still don’t understand how it happened that the smartphone simply slipped out of my palm while I was taking it out of my pocket.
You slid and had fun jumped up the steps. Horror.
What does the staircase look like? What happened to the iPhone.
So that you understand the scale of the tragedy. This staircase is 9 steps. The iPhone counted them all.
Agree, Monday is not the best day to get an expensive gadget repaired, or even buy a new iPhone, out of the blue and because of your own crankiness. Honestly, no day of the week is the best for this.
So I fell towards my smartphone on the landing with a doomed look. I really didn’t want to hear the spider web crack on the back glass panel. The only thing I thought at that moment was “it’s a good thing I didn’t peel off the protective glass from the screen, maybe it will survive.”
With a sinking heart, I picked up the iPhone 15 Pro from the floor and…
…it’s my pleasure to share this text with you. Because the iPhone survived this sudden drop test just fine and received absolutely no visible damage or scratches.
See for yourself:

The titanium frame remains in its original form. The glass back did not break. The cameras didn’t break. The screenshot also survived after 9 steps of the ladder.
Now definitely no covers. The iPhone 15 Pro proved that it is quite possible to do without them and not damage the device even in the event of such an extreme drop.
I’ll probably leave the protective glass on the screen for now. I am sure that without him the consequences would have been much worse.
The protective glass may have saved the screen. Everything else is intact thanks to the materials and the happy events that happen.
The last time I frankly dropped my iPhone was a couple of years ago, I had the 13 Pro Max model. It was also without a case and on a polished metal frame after the fall occurred first (and the only ones) marks. It was a shame.
Titanium not only did not deform, but scratches did not even appear. The perfect frame.
I’m not advocating for anyone to immediately take off their cases and start dropping their iPhones, but if you are the owner of an iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max, know that most likely nothing will happen to your smartphone. He definitely has at least several “lives”, I checked.
