BYD presents the Yangwang U9 supercar, which will be produced for individual orders in China.
The U9 is equipped with its own electric motors, which in configuration produce 1287 hp. (960) and 1680 kW Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.36 seconds. Maximum speed is 310 km/h.
That’s faster than the Buggati Chiron and Ferrari SF90, which hit 100 km/h in 2.4 and 2.5 seconds respectively. The Chinese supercar is also faster than the Porsche 911 Turbo S (2.6 seconds).
Yangwang U9 has the following dimensions: length 4966 mm, width 2029 mm and height 1295 mm. In this regard, it is very similar to the Lamborghini Aventador (length 4943 mm, width 2098 mm and height 1136 mm).
The battery has a capacity of 80 kWh and is enough for 465 km. The battery supports trickle charging and can be charged from 30% to 80% in 10 minutes.
Another one created was the DiSus-P hydropneumatic suspension of our own design. It is capable of raising and lowering each axle at speeds of up to 50 centimeters per second. In addition, with its help the car can dance and perform a tank turn.
The interior of the Yangwang U9 stands out among other supercars only due to the presence of a large number of screens. But by modern standards they are quite small.
The key advantage of the Yangwang U9 is its price. In China, prices start at $233 thousand. It costs half as much as a Ferrari SF90 and 14 times as much as a Buggati Chiron.
The company has already started accepting pre-orders. Sales of the car began this year. [Electrek]
