The car, which the brand explains has all-wheel drive, promises torque of more than 800 Nm, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds and a range of 800 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC cycle.

But in addition to the amazing features that the brand announced at the end of 2023, there were also three unknown What remains to be decided is how the car performs in practice, what the marketing plans are outside of China, and what the car looked like in real life.

The first riddle, unfortunately, still cannot be solved. Not only was it not possible to test the Xiaomi SU7; We weren’t even allowed to go there. What we have achieved – at least partially – is solve two other unknowns. And that’s good news.

When will Xiaomi SU7 arrive in Spain?

In an interview during the Mobile World Congress, Lu Weibing (President of the Xiaomi Group and International Business Department) assured: CNBC What The first deliveries of Xiaomi SU7 will take place in China in the second quarter of 2024.

Its exterior lines are inevitably reminiscent of cars such as the Porsche Taycan, one of the benchmark electric vehicles on the market. Inside, however, what little we were able to see is more reminiscent of a Tesla Model S. The aesthetics of the seats, the powerful weight of the central screen, the thin instruments behind the wheel, the overall minimalism… the combination is quite interesting.

The detail that attracts attention is the “hump” located on the windshield, in which the elements of autonomous driving are located. An element not very common in Western cars.. It is also strange to see the Xiaomi logo on a car, although this is just a matter of habit.

Obviously, This is only the first approach to the car.. To determine its true quality will require much deeper experience. But while this is not possible, the reality is that Xiaomi SU7 surprises. And even more so when you consider that it is from a completely new brand and was developed in just 3 years.
