MacRumors, citing unnamed user X (former Twitter) has a good track record of reporting which iPads will update to iPadOS 18.

As for the resource, this insider has shared accurate information before. Now he also published a list of devices, but quickly deleted the tweet to remain in the shadows.

So, who’s on the way? Tablets with the A10X Fusion chip, namely the 10.5-inch first-generation iPad Pro and the 12.9-inch second-generation iPad Pro (both 2017).

So iPadOS 18 will work:

• iPad Pro: 2018 and later.
• iPad Air: 2019 and later.
• iPad mini: 2019 and later.
• iPad: 2020 and later.

iPadOS 18 is expected to be officially unveiled at WWDC 2024 this summer. There are no exact dates yet, but the presentation could happen as early as June.
