Blogger Ken Pillonel, known for replacing Lightning with USB-C in older iPhones and AirPods, did the same, but now with AirPods Max.
Pillonel has developed his own board with USB-C, which can be installed instead of Lightning and disassembled headphones. Drilling the body is not a sacrifice for this.
The guy also wanted to add audio transmission via USB-C, but abandoned this idea due to the too expensive components and the complexity of implementation from a software point of view.
For everyone who wants to find spare connectors, Pillonel began selling USB-C for AirPods Max for 39.9 Swiss francs (4,100 rubles). He also created and posted all the necessary instructions for free.
