Investors will receive insurance compensation through Uralsib Bank.

To receive a refund by personally contacting the agent bank (Uralsib), the depositor must present a passport and fill out a compensation payment application form.

Qiwi Bank depositors who live outside populated areas where Uralsib has branches can submit an application for payment of DIA compensation by mail.

Payment of compensation will continue until the date of completion of the liquidation procedures in relation to Qiwi Bank.

Since February 29, depositors can use the information services of the DIA on State Services and receive information about the amount of compensation due and paid. Starting March 19, it will be possible to submit an application for payment of compensation in electronic format through Gosuslugi.

The Central Bank, as well as the DIA, later stated that Qiwi Bank, according to preliminary estimates, has sufficient funds to return money from electronic wallets.
  • The DIA identified about 9.3 million wallets in Qiwi Bank with a total amount of funds of 4.4 billion rubles.
  • It was also previously reported that Tochka Bank would purchase its clients’ funds remaining in Qiwi Bank for 8 billion rubles. The bank plans to make the first payments on March 5.
