Thus, owners of devices with M3 chip can use Apple Diagnostics for self-repair.

This web-based tool provides regular users with the same capabilities as Apple Authorized Service Centers and independent repair shops: it allows you to identify faulty components and also check “optimal functionality and performance of parts.”

Apple introduced the tool for iPhone and Mac last year.

Additionally, Apple states that it is working to improve the Mac repair process and wants to make the process more efficient by streamlining system configuration procedures.

Starting in early March 2024, you will no longer need to contact the Self Service Repair team to complete the final repair step. However, if you need help, the team will still be available.

This is great news for all MacBook Pro and iMac owners with M3 chips. Now you can repair your devices yourself without wasting time and money in service centers.
