A few weeks after the official presentation, Motorola revealed all the details about the next member of the Edge family. The manufacturer has jumped on the trend of ultra-thin phones to compete with Samsung and Apple, albeit with a twist that gives it a significant advantage. In terms of design, the Motorola Edge 70 will be different aluminum chassis is 5.3 mm thick at its thinnest point and weighs only 159 grams. This means it will be thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S25 Edge and the new iPhone Air. As we see in other models from the brand, Motorola includes military-grade drop protection as well as IP68+IP69 certification for dust and water resistance.
Ahead we find 6.67″ P-OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 4500 nits maximum brightness and Pantone color certification. Apparently, this is the same screen as the Edge 60, so we can expect a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Gorilla Glass protection.
Motorola Edge 70: new Qualcomm processor and Samsung camera
We see the changes inside: Motorola Edge 70 leaves MediaTek behind and chooses Octa-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Although it is not a top-end processor that can compete with 1000 euro mobile phones, it has decent performance for gaming and everyday activities. Like its predecessor, the new mobile phone is offered in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage configurations.
Another adjustment that attracts attention is the presence Samsung sensor with optical image stabilization for the main camera. Motorola has replaced the LYTIA 700C with a new 50MP sensor, which is included in the triple rear camera system. Although Lenovo will release the X70 Air in China at the end of October, Motorola Edge 70 will be officially launched on November 5, 2025.. At the moment there are no details about price and availability, although if previous models are taken into account, it is likely that it will not exceed 599 euros.
