ChatGPT developer OpenAI has agreed to collaborate with startup Figure AI to develop next-generation AI models for humanoid robots. The goal of the collaboration is to open up new possibilities for how robots can help in everyday life, writes Business Insider.

OpenAI will develop AI for humanoid robots

Figure AI said its Figure-01 robot is capable of helping in areas such as “manufacturing, logistics, warehousing and retail.” This will help fill the labor shortage.

The height of Figure-01 is 170 cm and the weight is 60 kg. Operating time – 5 hours, speed – 1 m/s

The company published several videos on its social networks with a humanoid in which it walks, prepares coffee, lifts boxes and carries them from one point to another.

Figure AI also raised $675 million, with investors including Nvidia, Microsoft and Amazon.com Inc. and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
