Dodge has officially launched the 2024 Charger Daytona muscle car.

According to the company, the new product can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds. It covers a quarter mile (402 meters) in just 11 seconds.

The electric car uses two electric motors with a total power of up to 670 hp. At the same time, he can “growl”, as before. Only now it will be an imitation of the sound of a V8 engine.

The car will be available in two trim levels: R/T and Scat Pack. In the first case, the owner receives 456 hp and accelerates to “hundreds” in 4.7 seconds. With it, the electric car will travel about 510 km on a single charge. And in the Scat Pack version, the range is 418 km.

The company noted that they relied on power, and not on the distance that the Charger Daytona EV learned to travel.

The electric beast features massive 16-inch Brembo brakes and a red six-piston front/four-piston rear fixed caliper. This is the largest brake package offered on a Dodge vehicle.

A battery with a capacity of 93.9 kWh is responsible for autonomy. When connected to a 175 kW fast charger, the Charger EV’s battery charges from 5% to 80% in 52.4 minutes. And on a powerful 350 kW charging time is reduced to 32.5 minutes.

Different driving modes are supported: Auto, Eco, Sport, Wet/Snow, Track and Drag. Track mode ensures maximum vehicle performance on smooth, metal surfaces. And in Drag mode, “lane start and straight-line acceleration are ensured.”

The Dodge Charger Daytona EV will be released this year. The cost has not yet been disclosed. [The Verge]
