According to a study by Avito Services, gender inequality is also decreasing in the “sphere of business services”, where in three years women have surpassed men for the first time, according to a press release.
Until 2023, 54% of employees on the Avito platform in the Business Services category were men, but at the beginning of 2024 the proportion changed slightly: 53% were women (in 2021 they were 46%).
And yet, the areas of activity in which the majority of women remain the same: beauty industry (90% of women), repair and sewing of clothing and footwear, laundry, dry cleaning (67%), cleaning and other domestic services (89%), animal care (80%), tutoring, teaching, childcare (77%).
