This is currently unstable, but this feature has already been implemented in the test version of Chrome Canary 124.
Why is this necessary? Google wants to unify the way to exit full-screen mode; Currently, different keys and combinations are used for different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux and others).
This isn’t always useful, especially if you’re switching between different computers. Simple and familiar Esc will simplify things significantly.
When will we be able to evaluate the innovation in regular Chrome? There are no exact dates as the feature is only available in the internal testing phase. However, in the future, convenient control of full-screen mode will be available to everyone.
