Data likely to be stolen includes highly sensitive information such as names, social security numbers, dates of birth, residence status, bank account and routing numbers, credit card numbers and security codes.
This isn’t the first time Infosys has been involved in a data breach. Last month, Bank of America reported that the information of more than 57,000 customers had potentially been compromised through Infosys.
Fidelity assured customers that it was working with Infosys to understand the extent of the breach and take remedial action. They also offer credit monitoring and identity theft protection services to affected customers.
