Dark energy is the mysterious force accelerating the expansion of the universe and is believed to make up approximately 70% of the universe’s contents. Basic matter makes up 25%, ordinary matter only 5%. By using artificial intelligence to analyze computer simulations, scientists have increased the accuracy of predictions about the fundamental properties of the Universe. This made it possible to eliminate models of the Universe that were previously thought possible.

The resulting dark energy map was created using a technique called weak gravitational lensing; This technique investigates how light from distant galaxies is bent by the gravity of matter on its way to Earth. The study results confirm previous analyzes of the Dark Energy Survey map published in 2021. They show that matter in the universe is more evenly distributed than predicted by Einstein’s theory of general relativity.
