Even though Apple is opening up iOS to more third-party apps, there are still significant security measures in place when distributing apps through websites. Developers must follow Apple’s strict app development guidelines and users must agree to install apps from iPhone settings.

The new app distribution model also includes access to additional tools like Twinmotion and RealityCapture for an annual fee. However, it is important for non-gaming application developers to comply with a number of requirements and conditions imposed by Apple.
