Manufacturers of household appliances Electrolux, Tefal, Braun and Rowenta began to actively block the supply of their products to Russia through parallel imports, including sales on marketplaces.

It is reported that companies are signing a moratorium with partners in other countries on the re-export of electronics to Russia. Violation results in the termination of contracts.

Interviewed interlocutors of Kommersant say that some brands introduced this practice back in 2022. And many companies that have left have already lost their positions significantly, even taking into account parallel imports.

According to the publication’s source, brands that block supplies may completely disappear from Russian stores. However, the commercial director of the M.Video-Eldorado group, Oleg Muravyov, claims that the total product range in the retailer’s network still expanded in 2023 by 22% per year. Basically, this success was achieved due to Turkish and Chinese brands, as well as manufacturers from the EAEU countries. [Коммерсантъ]
