Apple is in talks with Google to introduce the Gemini artificial intelligence system to the iPhone. This was reported by Bloomberg citing sources familiar with the situation.

According to the agency, AI features could be introduced in iOS 18 as early as 2024. However, it is unlikely that a deal between Google and Apple will be announced before the developer conference that the latter plans to hold in June. Additionally, Apple is in talks with OpenAI to bring its systems to iOS.

Apple is developing its own artificial intelligence system, but its capabilities are still inferior to those of Google and OpenAI products, the publication notes.

Previously, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Apple would make a major announcement on artificial intelligence in 2024.
