EVM PRO began testing the first Russian electric cargo truck at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the manufacturing company.

The vehicle is based on the UAZ Profi chassis and its load capacity is 1 ton. The truck reaches a maximum speed of up to 120 km/h with a range of up to 300 km on a single battery charge. The battery life allows you to travel 750 thousand km.

“The advantages of switching to electric transportation are its respect for the environment and its efficiency. In particular, the cost of maintaining such a machine is almost two times lower,” noted Pavel Kushnirenko, director of ground handling at the Northern Capital Gateway company.

According to the director of EM Rus LLC, Ilya Rashkin, 67% of the truck’s components, including the engine, on-board electronics and software, are of Russian design.
