Complaints about cheating have been an ongoing problem for EA, and players claim the company has done little to address the problem. Angry EA discussion posts include phrases like “If EA bans all cheaters, there will be no players left” and “The problem is the process of banning/suspending players.” Other complaints center around prioritizing profit over the gaming experience, such as increasing the price of skins.

Moreover, EA laid off five percent of its staff (about 650 people) at the end of February. Respawn’s unfinished Star Wars game has been canceled along with layoffs.
