Sony expects PSSR to allow games to run at 4K/120fps and 8K/60fps, but this isn’t the case for the PS5 Pro. This is rather the company’s goal for the future.

PS5 Pro will be more modest. Now games are tested in 4K/60 fps and 8K/30 fps, but it is not a fact that the release version of the console will provide such modes.

Henderson offers two tests comparing the PS5 and PS5 Pro:

  1. PS5: 1080p@60fps and 1800p@30fps / PS5 Pro: 1440p@60fps with PSSR.

  2. PS5: 60fps without ray tracing / PS5 Pro: 60fps with ray tracing.

It was not stated which games were tested. PSSR will require 250 MB of memory.

Let us remind you that PS5 Pro should appear at the end of 2023.
