The Rosinter Restaurants holding company opened a Lalibela Coffee cafe on the site of the former Costa Coffee in Moscow’s Aviapark. In summer, the holding company registered the domains café lalibela and café lalibela.

The British brand Costa Coffee stopped operating in Russia in 2023. Subsequently, Rosinter Restaurants, which had been developing the chain as a franchise since 2012, decided to work in collaboration with Lalibela Coffee.

According to TASS, 10 establishments are planned to be put into operation as part of the pilot program by the end of the year. Based on your results, a decision on scaling will be made.

“We continued to develop the network and, together with our partners, opened the first coffee shop under the Lalibela Coffee brand. It opened on March 16, 2024 in the Aviapark shopping center,” said the president of the holding, Margarita Kosteeva.

When Costa Coffee suspended its operations in the Russian Federation, the holding company changed the name of the coffee to Coffee.

Currently, Rosinter Restaurants’ portfolio includes 19 cafeteria projects, of which the holding company is developing four as franchises.

Previously, RB.RU wrote that almost all owners of the Stars Coffee coffee chain (formerly Starbucks), except Timur Yunusov (Timati) and Sergei Kropachev, pledged their shares in the company to Sberbank.
