The credit institution specializes in providing fund transfer services between JSC Qiwi Bank and other participants in the banking services market, the statement said.

According to the regulator, the bank provided agreements between individuals and shadow companies (cryptocurrency exchangers, illegal online casinos, betting houses).

Information about operations that have indications of criminal offenses is sent to law enforcement agencies.

  • On February 21, the Bank of Russia revoked Qiwi Bank’s banking license. The Central Bank explained that the bank violated federal laws and did not comply with the regulator’s requirements. The organization ranked 89th in terms of assets in the Russian banking system. The license revocation was the first in the banking sector since August 2022.
