Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho sought to establish the nation’s leading education system as a center of innovation by introducing Ed with a demonstration at the Roybal Learning Center west of downtown. Joanna Smith-Griffin, president of Boston-based AllHere company, stated that Ed is one of the most advanced education projects.

Ed provides students with instant answers to their questions and specific recommendations. While the chatbot is currently limited to information within the school district, its functionality may be expanded in the future. The program has already been successfully tested and rolled out in 100 schools identified as the most “vulnerable”.
