The German company Herrenknecht AG has presented special vibratory trucks for the exploration of geothermal energy deposits.
These extraordinary vehicles look like typical trucks but come with a special platform. This is what creates the seismic waves that pass through the Earth. Special sensors capture the reflection of these waves and, based on them, create a picture of what is happening under our feet.
This technology will help search for “hot spots” where heat accumulates deep underground. There you can drill a well, pour water into it and get superheated steam at the exit. With its help, you can rotate turbines and generate environmentally friendly electricity.
Unusual vibrating trucks will begin testing later this year, and mass production could begin in 2025.
