The Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) received claims for 24.3 billion rubles from creditors of Qiwi Bank. The information in this regard is reflected in the DIA report.
According to the results of a survey conducted by DIA, the value of Qiwi Bank’s assets decreased by 4 billion rubles to 68.2 billion rubles. This is due to the revaluation of securities based on quotes on the day their license was revoked, according to the report.
In February, the Bank of Russia revoked Qiwi Bank’s license and in March the regulator filed a lawsuit against the organization. At the same time, it was reported that DIA reimbursed Qiwi Bank depositors 3.26 billion rubles, which is 75% of the entire insurance liability.
The Central Bank previously reported that Qiwi Bank has surplus funds of 28 billion rubles, sufficient to cover its obligations.
