Nine out of ten Russian companies were targeted by cyberattacks in 2021, a MegaFon study showed. At the same time, 20% of companies as a result of this received financial damage, 18% – image damage.
The majority (80%) of companies admit that companies still do not pay enough attention to cyber risk management.
Small and medium-sized businesses were the most vulnerable: six out of ten companies do not hire information security specialists on their staff. 41% trust infrastructure protection issues to be outsourced.
Being connected to the Internet has made businesses more vulnerable to cyberattacks, according to 91% of respondents.
As part of the Cybersecurity Index study, MegaFon interviewed 400 representatives of companies from various industries that use cybersecurity services. The company conducted an investigation together with the analytical agency TNS MIC JSC.
