Representatives of the State Duma, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Business are discussing a bill to create a state registry of electric scooters and other SIM cards in Russia. TASS writes about this.

It is assumed that all SIMs will be registered in the registry, except for those that correspond to the concept of “goods”. SIM owners will receive funds for registration 10 days after their purchase. It will be possible to register your SIM at State Services.

Each SIM will be assigned an account number, which will make it possible to monitor compliance with traffic rules by its owners, the authors of the bill noted. If the bill is passed, its provisions will take effect on March 1, 2025.
