Today, users noticed that their Apple gadgets suddenly asked to log in to someone else’s Apple ID.

The first complaints appeared last night, and continue this morning. People see the opposite window, which displays unknown login from Apple ID. As follows:

Apple ID verification

Enter the password for (unknown mail) in Settings.

This Apple ID and the official email address of the unknown owner, and it is different for everyone. Some users may have had multiple requests from different accounts at once.

We at iPhones.ru immediately responded to these complaints and collected statistics based on messages abroad, comments on the website and our Telegram channel.

Only in Russia there are no such problems

One possibility was that it was a hacker attack, which the company reported today. But this version of quick cutting leads to the emergence of some kind of logical connection between dead events.

The format of the messages sent looks different and differs from what the user sees. But we noticed the issue of hacking later.

Complaints in the enemy window with Apple ID observed all over the world, and not just in Russia. Here are some examples from Reddit:

An opponent window appeared on my screen with the mailbox of my ex-boyfriend, who asked me to enter the password for my Apple ID. I haven’t talked to him for 10 years.

Why is Apple now asking me to enter a password for its email account? Should I be worried that he will try to log into my accounts?

Someone managed to come several times with advice to log in:

In general, there are enough complaints, and quite a lot of them. And they keep coming back.

Is there any danger?

What could this really be?

Apple sends this warning to indicate that your Apple ID has indeed been attacked.

Due to the hacker attack over the past 24 hours, Apple may have begun to take countermeasures.

Namely, it launched a check of all Apple IDs that have ever been accepted for the device in connection with the main account. That is, for example, you could add an account for downloading applications that cannot be accessed with the main profile. These could be banking programs installed through iMazing, and similar programs using a random account, or games/applications available in Russia.

This is why you might see an accusing message asking you to re-enter your password.

So what’s now

Nothing.

Just close it and ignore it.

The absence of re-authorization will not affect already standard applications. They continue to operate as normal. In any case, your data will be received upon delivery.

Nobody is trying to hack you.
