An IDC study showed that demand for computers is now on an upward trend after the massive market decline that followed the boom during the pandemic. However, it is too early to talk about sustainable growth, but this at least means that buyers’ interest in electronic products has revived.

Statistics for companies are also provided. Thus, the sales leader was Lenovo with sales of 13.7 million PCs and laptops, HP sold 12 million devices, Dell ranked fourth with 9.3 million sales, and Apple was in fourth place with sales of 4.8 million computers, especially MacBooks. Acer came in fifth, selling 3.7 million units.

A total of 59.8 million computers were sold worldwide. And the 1.5% figure is higher than in 2023.

Moreover, despite being in fourth place, it was Apple that showed the highest increase: Mac shipments increased by 14.6%. Compared with its competitors, this is a more serious indicator: for the same Dell and HP, sales fell.
