According to Hassabis, Sora is a more advanced tool that allows you to create minute-long videos based on text description, the demo versions of which are gaining a large audience quite quickly. Lumiere only produces 5-second videos, and there is a high “risk of misuse to create fake or harmful content” when using this neural network. Ultimately this caused a scandal and as a result Google suspended the implementation of the tool.
Google admitted this in a research report. Based on all this, Hassabis suggested that Lumiere’s AI would have a hard time competing with Sora.
