Using a new technique, experts automatically reconstruct the structure of blood vessels and determine morphological parameters to identify areas of pathological narrowing. Testing the algorithm on a large sample showed its high accuracy – 83.1%. In addition, a three-dimensional visualization of the vascular system was performed, showing the location of the detected narrowed areas.

Incorporating this algorithm into clinical practice will significantly simplify and accelerate the diagnosis of narrowed cerebral arteries. The results of the research were presented at an international conference held as part of Medical Education Week 2024.
