During an interview, almost half of recruiters encountered a question from a job seeker about what the company does, and a third encountered attempts by the candidate to ask them out. This is stated by a study by the Rabota.ru service.

41% of recruiters considered the question about the employing company to be the strangest question in the interview, for example: “What does your company do?” 30% of respondents noted attempts to invite a recruiter to a date. Talking about salary confuses a quarter (24%) of those surveyed.
19% of respondents were faced with interview questions such as “Who are you? Where I am? What will I do?” The same number reported that they found questions about the volume and complexity of work strange, for example, “Do you need to carry something heavy around the offices?”; “Is there a lot of work?” and another.
Questions of a personal nature were noted by 18% of organizations, and 17% of companies consider the question about working hours strange, and 16% each – about the dress code and meals.
13% of recruiters are sure that they should not ask about experience, vacations and Internet availability. 11% do not like to talk to the candidate about the future manager, 7% point out questions about smoking and alcoholic beverages, and 2% about the workplace and equipment.
16% of respondents had no strange questions.
More than 400 business representatives from all regions of Russia took part in the study.
