Google fired 28 employees after they staged a sit-in protest over the company’s contract with Israel.
Google’s head of security, Chris Rakow, sent a letter to all employees saying that “this type of behavior has no place in our workplace and we will not tolerate it.”
He also warned that similar strikes would lead to new incarnations.
If you are one of the possible people who is inclined to think that we are going to engage in behavior that violates our policies, think again. The company takes this extremely seriously, and we continue to enforce our long-standing policy to take precautions against disruptive influences—prior to implementation.

Google employees opposed the company’s participation in the Nimbus project. It’s a $1.2 billion agreement between Israel, Google and Amazon, in which the tech companies provide the country with a server that provides and maintains security. [The Verge]
